As part of our commitment to deepening NIUU’s presence in the wider community—and to joyfully supporting our Charity of the Month partners—we have registered to offer our special NIUU soup at this year’s Souport the End of Homelessness event. Attendees will sample soups from across the community and vote for the Best of Show, creating a spirited and meaningful gathering in support of neighbors experiencing homelessness.
To prepare for the event, we recently held a soup‑judging potluck, where the winning recipe—crafted by Sue Hansen‑Barber—was selected to represent NIUU. We now invite several volunteer chefs to help prepare the five gallons of soup required for the event. Additional details about our table setup and participation can be found in the September 24 newsletter.
